In 2017, the Google team introduced an architecture called transformer. This architecture consists of encoders and decoders and is a neural network model with an attention layer. Although it was initially developed for Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks, it is suitable for other tasks. But its main target is language models.

This architecture was first used in 2018 in the Bert and GPT algorithm. Until 2022, this process continued within the framework of academia in general.
